A team of SSJH attorneys and professional staff members spent the morning today building a home. As volunteers for Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley, attorneys Gina Johnnie and Michelle Morrow, and paralegals Pat Brundidge, Michelle Russell, and Mindy Stubenrauch set aside word processing and emails, donned toolbelts, and picked up hammers, saws, and power tools.
Our team worked on the job-site alongside Executive Director Tony Frazier, preparing the home for siding and assisting with pre-insulation tasks.
Habitat promotes home ownership by building homes in partnership with local hardworking families in need of adequate, affordable housing. SSJH has supported Habitat for many years by providing pro bono legal services. Our team found working on a Habitat home to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Our team thanks Habitat staff, volunteers, and donors for the good work they do every day (and the opportunity to spend the morning outside of the office).
