Practice
Steve is a fourth-generation Oregonian who is a passionate advocate and innovative strategist. He skillfully navigates sensitive and high-pressure situations for his clients before government entities, in property-related matters, and for general business. He enjoys identifying creative solutions for those impacted by government regulation and has a boutique election law practice.
While working at the highest levels of Oregon government, he managed a state agency legal portfolio, crafted an award-winning administrative rule protecting the voting rights of over 60,000 Oregonians, and helped negotiate a multi-billion-dollar bipartisan “grand bargain” in the Oregon Legislature. He has briefed cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Oregon and Arizona Supreme Courts, the Oregon Court of Appeals, and the Land Use Board of Appeals.
Steve enjoys strategy board games, hiking, informative podcasts, and spending time with his wife Sonja, children, and their friends and family.
