Practice
Alex focuses his practice on real property matters, estate planning, contracts, and general business law. Growing up in a small farming community near Astoria, Oregon, he understands the value of relationships and emphasizes understanding each client’s particular circumstances to find a solution that is tailored just for them. Alex brings a down-to-earth and practical approach that focuses on making sure each client he interacts with feels seen and heard.
Alex joined Sherman Sherman Johnnie & Hoyt as a law clerk in 2023 while attending Willamette University College of Law. While clerking, Alex worked on a broad range of real estate, business, land use, estate planning, and creditors rights matters. During law school he also served as a student attorney in Willamette’s Trusts and Estates Clinic, where he counseled clients and prepared comprehensive estate plans.
Before becoming an attorney, Alex earned an honors bachelor’s degree in marketing from Oregon State University and worked in creative media and marketing roles, which has given Alex an appreciation for a creative, solutions-oriented approach to his legal practice.
Outside the office, Alex enjoys photography, playing and recording music, fishing, and exploring Oregon’s outdoors with his wife and family.
